Medical Cost Projections
Medical Cost Projections are appropriate for any catastrophically injured client or any chronic condition in order to determine an approximate annual medical expense. On files that have been open for an extended period of time, it is helpful to periodically review the annual costs on a file to determine if appropriate costs have been identified and sufficient reserves have been allocated. It is also helpful to determine if services and associated costs are being paid by the appropriate payer source. A comprehensive review of the past 2 to 3 years of payment history is completed. Services, frequency and costs are tabulated and presented in a formal written report.
